California Culture
We are born and rasied Californians who love our beautiful state. When Kane Butler returned to California from the Army in 2012 he wanted to create something clean, simple yet BOLD, that would represent the feeling that California gave him. He missed the thousands of miles of gorgeous beaches, he missed going up to the mountains and being able to look out over the unique coastal desert terrain that California gives us.
We started simple, we sketched logos on post-it notes as we drank coronas, as we excitedly talked about what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go. Once we decided on the logo, Kane took out a pocket knife and on the spot cut out a stencil and we spray painted it onto the front of a white shirt. Shrader Clothing was born, we posted pictures online and immediately saw a positive response and knew we were onto something big.
Our Story
We scratched some money together and had some stickers and shirts made, we could only afford to do mens shirts sizes medium and large. We started a simple website, Instagram and Facebook, and people fell in love with our logo. We quickly began to pick up speed as we started to sell shirts in not only California, but coast to coast, within a couple months we had shirts going to Canada, United Kingdom, even Japan and Australia!
After that we took out a business loan and decided to just go for it, and we have been having fun doing it. We like to surround ourselves with good hardworking people who love to laugh and share our passion for everything California, from the music to the beach, we encompass that feeling California gives you, individual experiences may vary!
